Brian, Lynsey and Jack

Earlier in the week, we were delighted to welcome a legendary Number 9 into the ranks of The Jags Foundation.

Hot off Kris Doolan’s heels, our current Number 9 has put pen to paper too! Brian Graham takes the TJF membership up to 1435 (and counting).

Our new board members Lynsey Kane and Jack Carson went along to Petershill to join Brian ahead of the new Thistle Women’s pre-season drills.

Leading from the front

Brian embodies some of the very best of Partick Thistle. Passion and determination on the pitch, stubborn through adversity, and an ambassador off it.

We were delighted to see him extend his contract, which of course also continues his involvement in managing the Partick Thistle Women’s Team.

Thistle’s top scorer has become part of the Firhill furniture, and long may his goalscoring antics continue!

“I officially became part of the red and yellow army”

On joining TJF, Brian was quick to emphasise the support given to both Thistle teams this past season:

“The Jags Foundation were fantastic supporters of PTWFC last season, most notably through match sponsorships not to mention regular attendance at matches, which provides tremendous backing for me and the team…”

“Giving something back to The Jags Foundation was always on my radar and as soon as I was back at training – for both teams – becoming a TJF member was next on the list.”

“After completing the form to join TJF I officially became part of the red and yellow army, which I’ve long felt a part of to be honest.”

"A real sign of the 'One Thistle' mentality"

Lynsey Kane

Reacting to the news, new TJF board member Lynsey Kane said:

“Brian’s a massively influential figure in the dugout for the women’s team and on the pitch for the men’s side.”

“We hope that his backing will encourage even more sign ups to the Foundation, so we can increase our support for the entire Thistle community.”

“Having the women’s and men’s teams managers as members is a real sign of the ‘One Thistle’ mentality that’s developing at the club. We’re all in this together.”

How can you help Brian?

It will be hard to beat the outstanding top six finish achieved by the Thistle Women’s team last season, but with Brian at the helm you know that will be the objective.

Strong attendances can make a huge difference to performances on the park. That’s why it’s important for Thistle fans to Be Part of This new campaign, and to cheer on the side at Petershill this season.

Season tickets for the Women’s team cost just £75, or £50 if you already hold a men’s team season ticket. Please buy yours if you can, and get Petershill buzzing on a Sunday afternoon.
