Following on from the success of the McParland Pin, which we gifted to our first 600 active members, we will be launching a monthly Thistle Pin available for purchase.
Each pin will be available exclusively to Foundation members and will cost £10. All profits from the sale of Thistle Pins go to the Foundation. Most pins will be limited to a run of around 100, and each member is eligible for only one of each pin. When we said each pin would be a real collector’s item, we meant it!
Who will feature on the first pins?
We will be depicting cult figures from several different eras. There will be pins of your favourites whether you’re a young Jag brought up under Archie’s Army or are a more senior Jaggy connoisseur.
It’s really important to us that these pins of Thistle legends carry sentimental value too, and that our members will hold onto them for many years to come. We have been working closely with former players and their families to find the images that best capture their time at the Jags. They’re more than just a pin: they’re a memory and a connection too.
The subject of August’s pin will need no introduction to any generation of Thistle fan. A prolific goalscorer, a role model on and off the pitch, and a certified legend.
As for September? Well… wait and see!
How can I get August’s pin?
To be eligible to buy a Thistle Pin, you need to be an active member of the Foundation. If you’re unsure about your membership status, double-check by emailing membership@thejagsfoundation.co.uk. To join, fill in the online form here.
Secondly, once you’re a member, keep checking your email inbox and our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). We will give 5 days’ notice prior to the launch of each pin.
On launch day, all members will be sent a link to complete an online form, reserving your place in the queue for that month’s pin.
We will confirm when you’ve secured your place, and provide a unique link to pay for your pin through the Foundation website.
Finally, once you’ve paid, you’ll be able either to collect your Thistle Pin from one of our matchday stalls, or have it delivered by post.
What about the McParland Pin?
Remember, if you were an active member of the Foundation as of Monday 4th July 2022, you are eligible to receive a McParland Pin, completely free of charge. If you cannot find the email to claim your pin, get in touch at membership@thejagsfoundation.co.uk. You have until Wednesday 31st August to reserve your pin, after which they will also be made available to more recent members on our (rapidly growing!) reserve list.
Delivery update
For those of you who requested delivery of your McParland Pin, we expect to post these out within the next week or so. If you would like to make a voluntary donation towards postal costs, you can do using the donate tab on the website.
