Last year, 180 TJF members filled the Alan Rough Lounge in the first ever Hospitality Takeover at Firhill.
A full house, a special value day-out, some surprise guests, a new approach to pre-match entertainment, a comprehensive 4-0 victory against Arbroath and the place was absolutely buzzing from opening until closing.
Our only regret was that we couldn’t accommodate more of our members in the padded seats that chilly January afternoon. We said we’d try to run a similar event in the future so that those who missed out would get the chance to see what TJF hospitality has to offer.
We are delighted to announce that we’re taking-over Hospitality again, this time for Thistle’s league fixture against Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday 4th January.
This has been made possible by the bumper fundraising efforts of TJF members, through the Foundation Shirts initiative. The Hospitality Takeover day will allow TJF to boost Club coffers in January over and above our £12.5kpm pledge.
As part of the special day, Kris Doolan’s side will don the Foundation Shirt, with the names of more than 500 TJF members shadowed into the design.
The special deal
The Club will get full value from a sold-out Alan Rough Lounge, in what is otherwise traditionally a quiet day for hospitality. As with last year, we are making places available to TJF members at a special discounted price.
For just £35 each attendee will receive a welcome drink, delicious two-course meal, and traditional hearty half-time fayre.
Under Scotland’s licensing laws, we can’t offer an unlimited drinks package at this price point, but each attendee will receive 7 drinks tokens which can be exchanged for alcoholic and soft beverages during the meal and after full-time.
The ballot
All members are eligible to enter the ballot for hospitality spaces. You have until Sunday 1st December at 10pm to enter the ballot. Please make sure to submit one entry per member.
In the event that the ballot is oversubscribed, priority will initially be given to those who did not take part in last year’s take-over.
A link to the ballot has been sent to all members this evening.
Please check your emails and get in touch with membership@thejagsfoundation.co.uk if you cannot find the link or have any questions.
If successful, you will be notified by email and then given a 72-hour window to secure your place by paying for your Hospitality Take-over Ticket.
If you don’t follow through with purchasing a ticket by the deadline, it may be made available to someone else on the reserve list.
We are taking this approach based on feedback from members last year.
It’s the fairest way to ensure as many of our members as possible get a chance to experience and benefit from this hospitality event.
