As we previously reported, our members had an ABSOLUTELY amazing time on our men’s takeover day, despite the scoreline. EVERYBODY had a great day, filled with laughter, good food, drinks, and company.
Now, we are thrilled to announce a historic moment for The Jags Foundation: our very first women’s team takeover day
Just like the men, the women’s team will be wearing our iconic retro kits, but we’re hoping for a different result on the scoreboard!
The Big Game
The Women’s team will face Dundee United on Sunday 26th January at 1pm at Petershill Park for a critical SWPL1 clash.
Brian Graham’s side are looking to close the gap on Motherwell and try to secure a top 6 finish for the 3rd season in a row.
We would love for ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY to come cheer the women on and help them grab a vital three points at home.
Let’s create a sea of red and yellow, just as we did for the men’s team.
We are asking our members to wear their Foundation Strips if attending, but any red and yellow will do!
The women will also be donning our iconic retro look strip on the park, for one game only.
Not only is it important for the women to feel the support, but we’ve also had a whole host of exciting new signings this January transfer window.
Let’s show them what it truly means to be part of the Jags family.
A Special Take-Over Deal!
Matchday Mascots Needed
We are also looking for our junior members, especially those who own the TJF top, to proudly walk out with the team.
If your young jag would like to be a mascot please complete the form using the link below.
There’s ELEVEN spaces available so there’s a great chance to lead the girls onto the Petershill pitch!
TJF's Partnership with PTWFC
At our last AGM in June, members of The Jags Foundation endorsed a £5k pledge to the Partick Thistle Women’s team for the 2024-25 season.
So far, thanks to your commitment, we’ve already delivered £3k of that pledge.
TJF are the PTWFC Captain’s sponsor. Demi Falconer doesn’t just lead the team out on a Sunday.
She’s also a big backer of our fans’ community, having been among the first of the women’s team players to join TJF.
As part of the Captain’s Sponsorship, TJF members get the chance to win a pair of free tickets to PTWFC games, and to present the player-of-the-match award.
More details on how to enter these regular draws can be found in this evening’s members’ email.
ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY on the women’s team is a member of The Jags Foundation.
Post match next Sunday, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to meet and chat with the stars of PTWFC as well, and show the new recruits how much of a family we all are.
We look forward to seeing you all there, in red and yellow, to support the team, make some noise and (hopefully) cheer them onto victory.
One Club. One Team. One Family.
