Two sets of fan elections are taking place in May 2024 at Partick Thistle. They’re different elections, but they’re both important in their own ways to help make a success of our fan-owned football club.

The TJF Board is a 9-member fan-led leadership group, which runs Partick Thistle’s largest ever supporters’ association. We work together with the Club to represent the interests of our members and the wider Thistle fanbase. We organise fan events, fundraising initiatives and consultation exercises to strengthen the Club and its community, and to put the fans at the heart of everything it does.

TJF is also one of two trustees of the PTFC Trust (the other being The Jags Trust). This makes our leadership group joint custodians of the majority shareholding at Partick Thistle and responsible for key oversight of the Club’s major decisions under the Club-Trust Agreement.

If you have any questions about the TJF elections, please get in touch with Graeme Cowie at secretary@thejagsfoundation.co.uk.

The second set of elections are for two fan representative positions on the Club Board. As Partick Thistle’s majority shareholder, the PTFC Trust will nominate two elected candidates to serve on the Club Board as fan representatives until the late 2025/early 2026 Club AGM. This is the first step towards more permanent fan representation on the Club Board.

To be eligible to stand or vote at these elections you need to be a current PTFC Trust beneficiary as of 12.01am today (Wednesday 1st May 2024). Beneficiaries include TJF members, Jags Trust members, 2023-24 Season Ticket-Holders and 71 Club Members.

If you’re eligible to take part, you should receive an email at 9am today. This email explains how the election will work, the key deadlines, and more about the role of a fan representative on the Club Board.

The email also includes a link to the nominations form if you want to stand as a candidate. This must be completed no later than Wednesday 15th May 2024Get in touch if you are a beneficiary but didn’t receive this email.

The Club Board fan representative role is a new one, and an opportunity to become more directly involved in the Club’s leadership group, taking strategic decisions and assuming more responsibility for the running of the football club. By introducing a directly elected component to Club Board appointments, the Trust hopes to improve fan engagement and accountability at the football club, as well as to bring motivated and experienced Jags fans to the table to drive the Club forward.

If you have any questions about the fan representative elections, please get in touch with the Trustees at contact@theptfctrust.co.uk.
