The support we have received from Partick Thistle fans in this past week has been beyond our most optimistic of expectations. This process has been exhausting for those involved, but we have made ourselves available to you because you deserve a proactive and accountable form of fan representation.
The Foundation now has over 710 members (and it’s rising by the hour), making us the largest membership-based group of Partick Thistle supporters ever to have existed. Whatever happens in the coming weeks, each and every one of our number has the right to be listened to and to have their views taken into account about the best way forward for Partick Thistle.
It is our genuine hope that, if and when the preferred recipient is publicly disclosed, those involved will engage with fans in that spirit. Engagement matters, and we will not apologise for putting it at the heart of everything we do.
As Thistle fans, our immediate focus is now, rightly, turning to Saturday’s match against Queen’s Park. We strongly urge as many Jags fans as possible to get themselves to the game and to back Ian McCall’s team in their league campaign. This season should be one to remember for the right reasons, both on and off the park.
