Stadium allocation survey – have your say

Earlier today the Club announced that it would be consulting the fan owners of Partick Thistle on the ticketing allocation for the League Cup quarter-final fixture against Celtic.

We welcome the proactive work behind the scenes to involve the fans in this decision, especially given the relatively short timescales.

You can find out more about the two options being considered by the Club on the official website.

Option A is the “normal” arrangement at Firhill, whereby the 5900 seats in the Jackie Husband stand and the 1950 seats in the John Lambie stand are allocated to Thistle fans, with the 2000 seats in the Colin Weir stand being allocated to Celtic.

  • This would protect 7850 seats for home fans (the clear majority) but could lead to lower revenues if the full home allocation is not sold.

Option B is the alternative proposal, whereby the allocations for the Jackie Husband stand and Colin Weir stand are “swapped”.

  • This would mean only 3950 tickets are available to home fans, in the Colin Weir and John Lambie stands, with 5900 available to the visiting support. This would greatly increase the prospects of a capacity crowd, but Thistle fans would be in the minority.

This evening, beneficiaries of the PTFC Trust should have received an email with a link to the consultation survey. This will be your opportunity to influence the outcome, as well as to provide further feedback on how we can all make this tie a memorable one.

We also welcome that the Club has committed to a further consultation on ticketing arrangements for ties with unusually large away supports.

If you are a beneficiary of the PTFC Trust, but you haven’t received the link to the survey, please drop an email to contact@theptfctrust.co.uk.

The survey will run until Thursday 28th August, and the Club hopes to be able to confirm the date and time of the fixture some point after Monday 1st September, when the visitors’ European fixture scheduling is confirmed.
