Brian Graham - a managerial legacy

Taking charge in September 2020, Brian Graham reshaped PTWFC with 161 matches, top-flight success, and historic cup runs. His tenure saw:

Promotion to the SWPL and two top-six finishes.
A Scottish Cup semi-final and the Sky Sports Cup Final – the club’s first major final in over 50 years, backed by 2,000 Thistle fans.
Player development, helping women transition to full-time football.

His leadership expanded the profile of women’s football, leaving a lasting impact on the club and the game.

Clare Docherty - a true Thistle legend

Joining Partick Thistle Women’s FC in 2019, Clare Docherty quickly became a fan favourite, playing a vital role in the club’s promotion to SWPL1 in 2021. Her journey saw her evolve from an attacking player to a defensive stalwart.

Across her stellar career at Thistle, Doc made 134 appearances, scoring 19 goals, including an assist in the Sky Sports Cup Final, where Rachel Donaldson found the net. Her determination and passion for the game saw her collect 32 yellow cards—a true sign of her commitment (we’ll quietly gloss over the red ones).

Doc has always played for the badge, embodying the spirit and resilience that define Partick Thistle Women’s FC. Her retirement marks the end of an era, and she will be celebrated in style. Clare is also one of only three women to receive a Jags Foundation Pin – a rare and well-deserved honour.
