Message from the new TJF Chair

At the dawn of the new league and cup campaigns, I’m delighted to have joined the new-look TJF board. For those who don’t yet know me, I am Isabelle, and I’ve been following the Jags for more than 40 years.

I am the new Chair of the Foundation, having taken on the baton from the very capable hands of outgoing board member Lynsey Kane. It is a privilege to represent almost 2,000 Partick Thistle fans and I can’t wait to get properly started.

Our new-look team

I’m one of four recent additions to TJF’s Board alongside Connor Drummond, Scott McKenzie and Len Hoover. We had our first board meeting on Friday evening, and we agreed some key roles and responsibilities for the year ahead.

I’m pleased to confirm that Graeme Cowie has agreed to continue as Secretary, and he will be assisted by our Chicago-based colleague Len. New board member Scott has also agreed to take on the role of Treasurer, and will be supported in a handover by the outgoing Andrew Holloway.

Connor and Jamie McDonald will be working together to build the Foundation’s social media and communications presence in the year ahead, which is vital for reaching new fans and growing the membership.

Charlie Bowie, who will also serve as deputy Chair, is leading on our merchandise-based fundraising in the year ahead. When you buy the all new TJF scarf for example you’re boosting our financial firepower and showing your support for fan ownership. The extra income helps the Foundation to go above and beyond our pledges to the Club and to put on great events and deliver additional benefits for members.

Member events

Speaking of events, this is something I care passionately about: building social spaces for fans to get together beyond match days.

We’re hoping to confirm details for our annual barbecue very shortly (keep the afternoon of Sunday 23rd August free in your diaries for now) and there are a couple of other irons in the fire… keep an eye on our socials over the next few weeks!

Working together - delivering for our Club

It’s also important to build good relationships with the Club both on and off the pitch. The togetherness last season between the fans, coaching staff and players was an excellent foundation for that relationship.

Our three pledges renewed at the AGM provide vital financial support to the Club, Academy and Women’s team, totalling at least £179k for the season ahead. Without that backing, the task for the Club would be so much harder so thank you for your support.

Together, we can build something special at our Club, and have a memorable and successful season. Let’s get right behind the team and fulfil the dream of a return to the Premiership!

Watch back TJF’s 2026 AGM

Earlier in June we held our fourth Annual General Meeting. Members agreed to shorten elected terms from 3 years to 2 years, to support TJF taking steps to consolidate the fan groups, and to maintain our existing pledges to the Club, Academy and Women’s team.

We know that quite a lot of our members were unable to attend because they’d already made their way across the pond for the World Cup. But fear not! The recording of the AGM is now available to watch back on our YouTube channel for those who couldn’t make it on the night.
